whitegrid gallery

whitegrid gallery is a Berlin-based exhibition space dedicated exclusively to contemporary print art. Focusing on original prints and editions, the gallery highlights the richness, craft, and lasting relevance of the print medium today.

Founded in 2017, the gallery provides a platform for artists who explore the expressive potential of classic printmaking techniques such as serigraphy, woodcut, etching, lithography, and linocut, as well as related processes.

Through its exhibition program, whitegrid gallery showcases the continuing artistic vitality of the medium in all its technical and aesthetic variety.

Representing both emerging and established artists, the gallery brings together diverse artistic positions and invites visitors to discover and engage with the evolving language of print.

Beyond its exhibition activities, whitegrid gallery is committed to supporting the cultural heritage of artistic printmaking. In 2018, the techniques of relief, intaglio, planographic, and screen printing, together with their hybrid forms, were included in Germany's Nationwide Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage by the German Commission for UNESCO. By fostering contemporary practice while honoring traditional craftsmanship, the gallery contributes to preserving this legacy for future generations.
