Federico Caponi
Federico Caponi first studied philosophy at the University of Florence. He began taking photographs at the age of 10. His father was a major influence in this regard, teaching him how to work with black-and-white photography and darkroom techniques. Federico’s photographs have been published in Polish magazines such as Rzeczpospolita, PrzeKroj, and Gazeta Wyborcza. Since 2015, he has led the annual workshops on analog photography, darkroom techniques, and visual storytelling, “Photobooklet, un’esperienza narrativa,” at VisiVa in Florence. In June 2017, Federico’s series “The March on Warsaw” was exhibited as part of a group show at the Dom Kultury na Jazdowie in Warsaw. Federico is a member of Pracownia Wschodnia and heads the darkroom where the group produces its traditional silver prints. He lives in Florence and Warsaw.
