Kitra

Kitra was born in 1981 amid the bleak concrete landscape of communist Romania and grew up in the 1990s in a post-revolutionary climate rife with chaos. This environment sparked a need for escapism, steering his visual language toward bold colors and fostering an intense focus on clarity and order—elements that are constantly present in his work. Kitra currently lives and works in Berlin. He draws inspiration from the urban landscape, industrial design, and the digital world. Kitra also employs a mathematical approach to create his geometric-abstract, minimalist compositions, which evoke the sensibility of artists such as Frank Stella, Peter Halley, and Bridget Riley.
